Could read any word by age 5 or 6, too.<BR/><BR/>He has Non-verbal Learning Disorder, in the Autism Spectrum.<BR/><BR/>When I learned that he had this I was relieved to have some direction but resentful of the suggestion that some of his best qualities are just side-effects from a disorder??<BR/><BR/>Then I looked at our daughter and she's got an IQ of 148 with no disabilities and she's also nice and sensitive. And I want people to notice that and recognize that my son's traits are not just dismissible as side-effects.<BR/><BR/>This is just one struggle we have in raising him.
